Not for the app. Notch is free to download and use, and updates are included. Pro, coming soon, will be an optional cloud subscription with more storage, no Notch branding on your Link pages, password-protected Links and view analytics. You won't need it to record, edit or export.

Only what you publish. Recording, editing and speech-to-text happen on your computer, and a recording is never uploaded until you press Publish. Published links are stored in the EU. The app itself checks for updates and sends basic usage counts — never any part of a recording (see Privacy).
